“Gospel-Inspired Legal Clinical Service Initiatives: Theology and Practice” by Brian Dennison & Mirriam Achieng

The Gospel of Jesus Christ should make Christian institutions distinctive. When it comes to Christian law schools, there are countless opportunities for the Gospel to make a unique and  transformative impacts.  This essay presents particular ways that the Gospel can inspire and shape legal clinical service initiatives in African contexts.

Clinical service projects are highly practical endeavors.  The provide students hands-on experiences while offering tangible benefits to community members.  This essay is true to the practical quality of its subject matter; it provides real world examples of the integration of Gospel truths in clinical learning opportunities.  These examples come from the authors’ own experiences in leading a clinical legal education program at Uganda Christian University.
